Jazz lives at Storyville
There, the solos, talk and drinks flow until four in the morning. The dancefloor is often crowded as domestic and foreign bands play everything from Dixieland to swing, blues and rock. If you want to taste the Creole-accented food downstairs, a table reservation is advised. Try the Shrimps Bayou, a tantalising appetiser served in an escargot dish.
Storyville´s summer patio is located under big trees on a park across the street. Tables are arranged from the stone outcropping that supports the House of Parliament to the statue of the ”peasant president” Kyösti Kallio. Band plays late into the summer nights.
